I need Outlander on STARZ…NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

outlanderOn this night and time, I will cease to have children, a husband, a job, or a care in the world. All those who dare to interrupt me will be limping come morning, and for a long time thereafter. Fair warning.

Jamie Fraser OutlanderYeah…so I am trying to find a way to tell my husband that I am quitting my job so I can dedicate more time to watching Outlander and rereading the books. Also, I should probably mention that I am leaving him to move to Scotland to find my own Jamie Fraser, who I will subsequently kidnap, and chain to my bed. There shouldn’t be any problems with that, right?

During Vacation? !

So I’m a moron. I volunteered for a week- long class for teaching AP. It sounded like a good idea at the time.  But now?

I’d forgotten the power of vacation brain. And they want me to do homework every night,  and a final presentation on the last day!  This ought to be interesting…

Driven Trilogy by K. Bromberg

driven trilogyAbout 25% of the way into book one, and so far I am liking the characters and the storyline.

There are *SOME* things that remind me of Fifty Shades of Shit, but they are slight enough, and this story so much more than THAT story, that I can (so far) overlook them. Let’s hope that continues.

Overall this got tedious, quickly. It became the same thing over and over, with different catalysts. Epilogue was good though.

Warbound by Larry Correia (Grimnoir Chronicles III)

warboundOk, so this series awesome, but this is one of those book series that for some reason ( I really haven’t figured it out yet), I tend to put off, and put off, and finally read, feeling reluctant, then kick my own ass for waiting to read it sooner. Chronicles of Nick by Sherilyn Kenyon is another of those reads for me.

So I’m reading it, But now there is another hitch: I bought the actual book. Like paper and everything. This was one instance where if I hauled my butt to Barnes and Noble, and used my teacher discount, it came out cheaper than if I kindled it. Besides, I have the first two books in the series in paperback as well. But I am having a very hard time converting my reading habits back to a real book! It’s weird to hold, and I have to have a light on to read! And then there is the percentage completed tracker at the bottom. I didn’t realize how much I looked at that thing! That means I have to switch my Goodreads progress to page number instead of percentage completed. See what I mean? So much to consider when reading digitallyvs. reading an actual book.

Anyhoo, I suppose I will review the book when I finish it. Which, at this rate, could be a while…

ETA: GREAT ending to this series. This moved a lot faster than I thought it would, and I was surprised at how much I wanted ti sit and read this one.

The epilogue was short and well done, including the information that the reader needs to see the series to its close.

Larry Correia is amazing. If this genre is your thing and you have yet to pick up this series or his Monster Hunter series (even better than the Grimnoir series in my opinion!), do so! You will not be disappointed.
